[Solved] Student moving to a new class

Hi,

 

I have a student moving from one class to another.  I can not transfer him without activating the Multi-Class function, which I do not want to do.

What are my options?

Is the student joining another teacher's class, or is he moving from one of your class to another one of your class?

Between my own classes.  Student also had to be transferred from one Google Classroom to another, so there might be an issue there (but the student has completed the move in Google Classrooms).

I can not find the student in the database, and when I go to import via Google Classroom, the message I get is that student is already in another class, and that I have to activate multi-class function.

Hi Roy,

You should be able to add the student to the new class by following these steps:

 

  1. Go to the class settings for the new class.
  2. Click "Add Students," then click "Student Database."
  3. Select the student you wish to import into the class.
  4. Once the student has been added, you may go into the old class and remove the student safely. (Just click the pencil button across from their name, then "remove student.")

 

If this is what you've tried already and you're still experiencing issues, I'll create a ticket for you.

Hi Anne-Marie,

I've tried this (tried it again to make sure), and I can not access him from the Student Database.  I have already removed him from the other class.  If I attempt to add from importing from Google Classroom, I get the message that I have to activate multiclass.
