[Solved] Can you use a real map in quest?

I teach Chinese and I'm wondering if I can use a real map of China to build my quest to make the game more relevant to the subject matter. Is there a way to do it? Thanks.

Hi Jingyu,

Thanks for the question! Since Classcraft currently follows a "Fantasy" theme, adding custom pictures (or maps) as Quest maps is currently not on our roadmap. :)

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for getting back to me. I think I figured out a way from other teacher's practice. Thanks.

Oh cool! You're welcome, Jingyu.

Just to clarify, I didn't figure out how to change the map, but how to work with the current map and still tie it into my class content. I learned some great ideas from people's posts. Great community!

Hi, Andrew and Jingyu!

I'm newbie in Classcraft and the plataform is amazing. The Fantasy theme is great, but others themes would be appreciated too. =D

The ideia of a custom map is a good option! It could deliver more options to personalize quests with the content. For example: in a lesson about greek mythology, i could upload an ancient map of region and create a series of itens with the Odysseus's route, include the Trojan War and others points.

Thank you for the clarification, Jingyu! Would you be willing to share what you learned here? That might be helpful to Washington Forte. :)

HI I'm new to Classcraft and I teach French. I am creating a quest where they visit Paris. My storyline starts out where they are leaving their world to visit Paris. You can include photos including a photo of a map in your tasks or in the storyline text. You can also put it in a word doc or PDF with other information that you would like them to know about the area they are visiting etc. The kids will still get to visit. Or each stop on the main map could be a portal to the next stop you want them to visit in China or France or ancient Greece etc.  I think this will be very believable to them.  Put it in the storyline, You are now taking the portal to Troy where you will be... You can even add other photos of Troy etc. Let us know how it works for you and I will keep you updated on mine.
