6th Grade- Text Structure

Very simple, easy, quick quest for students to be able to identify nonfiction text structures. Not much background story. It can be the bones for a beefed up quest. Great for differentiation for small groups.

This is great! I'm going to add in one more stop where students have to write their own. Other than that I love it! Thanks so much for sharing!

My students are going crazy for quests and I can't keep up with the demand!

Story and Task:

The Supreme Reader has run out of reading material, and requires something brand new.

Write a paragraph (5 sentence minimum) about one of your favorite topics.

Choose the text structure that fits best for what you want to talk about.

At the end of your paragraph, tell which text structure (or structures if you incorporate two) that you used for your paragraph.

This quest was well written.  The directions were easy to follow and it was engaging.  Thanks so much for sharing.
