New to Classcraft- Grade 3 Teacher

 Hey everyone,

I'm new to Classcraft. I'm a grade 3 teacher and was wondering if anyone could possibly share any of their Quest with me to get a start on the program. I really would appreciate your help.

Elliott, what are you teaching currently?  I have found the best way to start off is to start with something your students will be doing as a class.  Then you can show them how completing the quests will help them with xp and gold!

I try to think about if the students can complete one activity in the quest a day and complete the quest on Fridays.

As an example: If you are teaching fractions this week. set up a quest with 5 activities (one for each day.) If you want to ease the students into it, make the first two activities whole group and the last 3 independent work.  I have a very "high spirited" class who needs to be reigned in every now and again so I can't give them the quest to complete on their own.  I have found it helps to constantly remind them that the task they are working on is part of the current quest and needs to be completed in order to get them back on track.

Thank you for the advise. Great idea about doing 1 per day and introducing it by doing 2 together as a class and the final 3 individually. I need to upgrade Classcraft so I have access to these special features. I can't wait to use this with my students.
