google classroom and assignment

Hi- If I create an assignment but have the students utilize google classroom, how can I get the xp to them? Do I need to manually put them in once I check classroom? Thanks - Lisa M

Hi Elizabeth,

Are you looking to give XP as a reward for Google Classroom assignments?

If so, you can do this through the Gradebook.

Hope that helps!

I haven't started my classes this year (my kids don't have their accounts yet). Do the kids get XP automatically for submitting an assignment?

Hi John,

No — you'll need to attribute the rewards to them, either in the Class Content assignments or in the Gradebook.

Is there a way to make it so only the Google Classroom assignments for one section show up? Right now I have all assignments from all my sections showing up in the Gradebook. I have to hunt to find the one I'm looking for. Can I fix this?

Hi Jessica,

For the moment, it is not possible to filter Google Classroom assignments in the Gradebook. We do plan on making it easier, though!

I am looking at this old thread. I just signed up for premium unaware that you cannot filter assignments by class. On November 15th you said there was a plan to make it easier. Is it possible to be more specific so I can make an informed decision about continuing my use or not. In addition, is there anyway to grade an assignment that a student turns in without downloading it?

Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

Hi Jeremy,

Our dev team is currently working on adding a class filter to the Gradebook, but I don't have an ETA at this time.

As for your question regarding the LMS, it would depend on the type of file. If it's a Google Drive file, you wouldn't have to download it to your computer, but otherwise you would have to (in order to grade it). I'm not sure if that answers your question... Let me know if I misunderstood!
