While playing Classcraft, two main views will enable you to access all the information and actions you’ll need.
When you log in to Classcraft, you’ll first see your Teacher Dashboard.
Click on the button “+Create a Class” to start creating a class. If you have classes already, you might need to scroll down to view this button. Once you start creating classes, they’ll be listed here, under “My Classes.”
If your whole school is playing Classcraft, you may see classes that were added to your dashboard by your school. A class where the button says “Begin Setup” was automatically created for you!
Tip: Don’t want to use some of these classes? Click the “...” button and select “Hide class.” Find your hidden classes in your profile menu!
Scroll below your classes to view the Demo Class, which comes pre-populated with students and quests and lets you try out all the Premium features. You can learn more about the demo class here.
Click the “Play” button of any class to view its Game Dashboard. If you didn’t finish a class’s setup, the “Play” button is replaced by a “Continue” button. Clicking on it will bring you where you left off.
The “...” icon opens a submenu where different options for your classes are listed. Here you can:
- Access your class settings
- Edit general information (name, header image, grade, and subject)
- Run the student Introducer
- Distribute codes
- Generate student certificates
- View the Rules Summary
- Change your behavior settings
- Obtain your class code
Use the upper navigation to:
- Return to your Teacher Dashboard (Using "Home")
- View notifications for all your classes (Activity Center)
- If your whole school plays Classcraft, reward behaviors for any student in school (Collective Feedback)
- Access your library of content (My Library)
The Classcraft logo in the upper part of the screen brings you back to your Teacher Dashboard. Click on your profile image to view the main menu where you can:
- Access your profile
- View the apps connected to your account (such as LRNG)
- Share Classcraft
- Sign out
Scroll to the bottom of the page for useful links that you can navigate to directly. You can also click on the blue question mark icon to get more contextual help or search for help articles.
Click any class’s “Play” button to view the Game Dashboard, where most of the game action takes place. Here you can manage points, use student powers, navigate to any game feature on the sidebar, and more.
In the upper part of the dashboard, you can choose to view the Players, Teams, or Class.
Use the Player view (shown above) to select any individual student. This will display their team, teammates, stats, powers, and pledges. To view one of their teammates’ profiles, click on their name above the image.
Use the Team view to show a list of teams. You can easily give or remove game points to a whole team, mark students as absent, and so on.
Use the Class view to view all of your students at once. You can easily manage points for all or several students, filter by character class, sort by highest or lowest stats, mark students as absent, etc.
Click on the game feed icon () to view a list of everything that happened in your class. Click the clipboard () icon to view your to-dos (such as delayed damage and pledges). Finally, click on the bell () icon to view your notifications. A green notification circle means that you have new notifications. Learn more about the Activity Center here.
Use your profile image to view the submenu and access your profile, view your apps, share Classcraft, or sign out.

When you log in to your Classcraft account on the mobile version, you can see your list of students for one of your classes. To access a different class, open the “More” () menu.
You can view the different sections of the game by tapping on the corresponding icon in the lower part of the screen. Drag the menu left and right to see other sections that may not be visible due to screen size.
To access your class on mobile, you’ll need to have at least one student with an active character. If your class is empty, you can add the student and set up their character using the desktop version, or you can switch to a different class.
The list will automatically display all the students in your class:
Tap on “Teams” in the upper right part of the screen to switch the view to teams. You can also enter the batch-selection mode by holding your finger on a student entry. You’ll then be able to select several students, and any action you take will apply to all of them at the same time.
With the mobile app, you can tap on the yellow + button to give students Experience Points (XP) or Gold Pieces (GP) and the red - button to remove Health Points (HP). If you want to change several values at once press the "..." button and select "Modify Points Manually."
The Messaging feature () enables you to view sent and received messages from your students or their parents (if they have a linked account).
Select a student, parent, or announcement type to send a message. You can attach files from your mobile device to a message after granting Classcraft permission to access your files. Write a message in the text box and tap on the green checkmark to send it.
The game feed () logs everything that happens in your classroom. Scroll up or down to navigate the feed.
In the delayed damage () section, you’ll see all the damage you’ve deferred. If you have new entries, a red notification icon with the number of actions needed will be displayed with the menu icon. The oldest damage will be displayed first as it must be handled first. Tap on the first entry to deal with the damage normally.
In the Class Tools section (), you can activate a random event for your class. To generate a random event for the day, tap on “See Event.” You can then tap on “Next” to apply damage, grant GP, or grant XP according to the event. Select “Apply” for the random event values to take effect.
You can also use the Wheel of Destiny to pick a random player or team. Use the yellow + button to give them XP, the red - button to remove HP, or the -/+ white button to change values. A counter keeps track of whether a student or team has already been picked by the random picker. Tap on the “Reset” button to reset this counter (learn more here).
You can also use Oron's Lantern on the mobile version. A red notification circle indicates that there are pending pledges you can view. However, you can’t mark pledges as complete on the mobile version.
Tap on the “More” () icon to find additional options.
To change the class you’re viewing, tap on the class name. In the scrolling menu, make sure that the class you want to view is between the two gray lines and that the text is darker. Then tap “Apply.”
Select “Analytics” to view the data and statistics overview for any student in your class.
From the settings, you can email support, give us feedback, and sign out from the app.
